Are our differences good or bad for our relationship?
It has been said many times, “We are so different!” Often conflict in a relationship stems from failing to understand and appreciate each other’s differences, distinctness, or uniqueness. However, couples need to recognize their God-given blending of differences as a blessing that leads to a greater fulfillment of life and completeness as a person. Use your differences to complement one another!
Questions to consider:
- What are three things you appreciate about your partner?
- How do your partner’s differences (strengths or weaknesses) irritate you?
- How do your partner’s differences (strengths or weaknesses) help you?
- For which of these differences have you thanked God?
